This was the first iteration of our robot, Mittens 3.0, featuring 3D printed parallel plates, a swinging arm with a linear slide to reach heights of 45 in while being packaged in a 16x16x16 in prism. This iteration of Mittens used an active intake box and swung up to score samples, giving us a high score of 71 points.

The second iteration of our robot, Mittens 4.0, features carbon fiber machined plates with a linear sample transfer system. Utilizing an automated intake, our intake would reach up to 20 in horizontally to pick up samples off the floor and transfer it to our vertical slide where our bucket would dump them into buckets all within a click of a few buttons. With this, our drivers and autonomous were able to score a high score of 161 points!!

Our final iteration features machined aluminum plates, AI powered webcam and a double claw transfer to automatically pick up game pieces off the floor and score them. With this iteration we plan to get a solo high score of 283 and attend off season events such as CRI, MTI, TAPPS, Lobster Cup and or more. For this, we require company partnerships to fund our journey in robotics alongside our partners! Find out how to sponsor or partner with us here!
